How to Prepare for Banking Exam?

  1. Believe in yourself: Firstly you need to have trust in yourself. Confidence and trust are the factors through which a person can do anything. Nothing comes easy hence prepare your mind to face the challenges and work effortlessly.
  2. Analyze the Syllabus of the exam for which you are targeting: IBPS organizes banking exams for various sectors like SBI PO, SBI Clerical, IBPS PO, Rural Banking exams, IBPS Clerical, etc… Hence, you need to be aware of the content which will be asked during the exam. The syllabus is almost the same, but there are some minor differences hence you need to plan by keeping all the points in mind for the respective exam.
  3. Work on your positive and negative points: After checking out the syllabus, divide the subject into two segments. One will be for weaker and other for stronger section. Start working on the weaker section first, let us have an example: Suppose you have 2 subjects in weaker section and 3 in stronger section. Pick 1 chapter from any of the subject of weaker section and work on 3 hours for the same. Simultaneously give 60 min practice to a subject of the stronger section on a daily basis.
  4. Revisions should be in routine: We have 7 days in a week, keep one day for self-analysis. Whatever you have studied for the whole week, just have a test of yourself in order to make a list of all the points where you are lagging. Start working on those points. Keep the practice till the exam and in the end, you will realize a low burden for revisions at the last moment.
  5. Join Mock Test and Online Test Series: In the current scenario, we have everything on the internet. Join test series from any reputed educational consultant and practice on the same. This will increase the speed of an aspirant and they get the confidence to perform best in the exam.
  6. Never ignore your mistakes: The time you realize your mistakes, immediately start working, Ignoring will lead you to failure. Be proactive and learn from the mistakes.
  7. Be aware of the updates: Always keep yourself in touch of News either via news channels or newspapers. Through this practice, you will have awareness about the happenings of surroundings which will be helpful for General Awareness section.
  8. Subjects which are important for Banking Exam Preparation: The banking exam does not have a specific structure because there is some difference in the pattern of the exam as explained earlier.
